Product Overview

The Philips S8-3 is a sector array transducer with an extended operating frequency range of 8 to 3 MHz. It is designed for adult and pediatric cardiac applications, as well as fetal heart, pediatric abdomen, and neonatal cephalic imaging. This transducer supports a wide variety of imaging modes including 2D imaging, steerable pulsed wave Doppler, continuous wave Doppler, high PRF Doppler, color Doppler, tissue Doppler, advanced variable xRes, harmonic imaging, M-mode, and M-mode tissue Doppler.

The S8-3 features broadband technology and contains 96 elements. The array type is sector with an aperture of 15.4 millimeters and a 90 degree field of view. This transducer is not biopsy capable and does not support image fusion navigation.

System Compatibility

It is compatible with a wide range of Philips ultrasound systems including the iE33, CX50, EPIQ 5, EPIQ 7, Affiniti 50, Affiniti 70, HD11 XE, and HD15.
