The Sonosite C60x/5-2 is a high‑performance curved array or convex ultrasound transducer primarily used for deep‑tissue imaging, such as abdominal and obstetrics and gynecology exams. It operates within a frequency range of 5 to 2 MHz and typically offers a scanning depth of up to 22 to 30 centimeters depending on the system.

The transducer features a curved array or convex design with a frequency bandwidth of 5.0 to 2.0 MHz. It supports M‑mode, tissue harmonic imaging, SonoRES compound imaging, color Doppler, and power Doppler. The C60x/5-2 is drop‑tested to withstand falls of up to one meter, ensuring durability in demanding clinical environments.

The probe’s wide broadband design makes it suitable for several medical and veterinary specialties. In abdominal imaging, it is used for evaluating the liver, gallbladder, kidneys, and abdominal aorta. In obstetrics and gynecology, it supports prenatal screening and visualization of pelvic organs.
