The S5-1 transducer with PureWave technology is a high-performance broadband sector array designed for a wide range of ultrasound imaging applications. It operates across an extended frequency range of 5 to 1 MHz, offering excellent image resolution and depth penetration for both superficial and deep structures.

This versatile transducer supports multiple imaging modes, including 2D imaging, contrast mode, coronary color, continuous wave and pulsed wave Doppler, steerable pulsed wave, high-PRF Doppler, color Doppler, tissue Doppler, and biopsy guidance capabilities. Thanks to reoptimized xRes adaptive image processing, the S5-1 delivers refined tissue pattern displays with improved detail, sharper edges, and fine border definition.

The S5-1 is well suited for adult echocardiography, abdominal imaging, pediatric echocardiography, and transcranial Doppler applications. It features PureWave crystal technology and contains eighty elements. The array type is sector with an aperture of 20.3 millimeters and a ninety degree field of view. The probe is biopsy capable but does not support image fusion navigation.
