Product Overview

The Philips L12-5 50 mm is a high-resolution, broadband linear array ultrasound transducer primarily used for high-frequency, superficial imaging applications. It features an extended operating frequency range of 12 to 5 MHz and a 50 mm effective aperture length. The fine-pitch linear array contains 256 elements, and the field of view is 50 mm with support for 10 degree trapezoidal imaging.

This transducer is well suited for a variety of clinical applications. In vascular imaging, it is used for carotid, arterial, and venous assessments. For small parts, it supports breast, thyroid, and testicle examinations. In musculoskeletal imaging, it is ideal for evaluating tendons, ligaments, and joints. Additional applications include abdominal bowel, general obstetrics, pediatric abdomen and hip, as well as superficial structures. The L12-5 is biopsy capable and also supports image fusion navigation.

The L12-5 50 mm transducer is compatible with a wide range of Philips ultrasound platforms, including the EPIQ 5 and EPIQ 7 from the EPIQ Series, the Affiniti 50 and Affiniti 70 from the Affiniti Series, the iU22 and iE33 premium platforms, the CX50 portable compact system, as well as the HD15, HD11 XE, HD9, and HD7 XE from the HD Series.
