The Sonosite ICTx/8-5 is a curvilinear, intracavitary ultrasound transducer primarily designed for high‑resolution internal imaging in obstetrics, gynecology, and urology. It is ideal for transvaginal, transrectal, and gynecological examinations.

The transducer features a frequency range of 8 to 5 MHz with a scan depth of up to 13 centimeters, though some variants or older models like the ICT8‑5 may specify 11 centimeters. It is a curvilinear or convex array type with a field of view of 135 degrees. The ICTx/8-5 is compatible with CIVCO disposable endocavity needle guides.

System Compatibility

Current and modern systems include the Sonosite Edge, Edge II, M‑Turbo, and SII. Legacy systems such as the Sonosite Titan and MicroMaxx are compatible specifically with the ICT8‑5 model.
