Our History

We Set

Our Standards

As one of the pioneering businesses in ultrasound repair, Advanced Ultrasound Systems has transformed the imagining industry by setting the standards that many other organizations use today. In fact, many of the companies you see advertising "ultrasound repair" utilize Advanced Ultrasound Systems for THEIR repairs. The path to this point required a keen understanding of what the imaging industry needed and the best way to fulfill those needs. With this in mind, the idea of what AUS could be and the ways it could help began to take shape.

Our Roots

John Hryshchuk

In 2001, John Hryshchuk had a novel idea: to found a company that would provide ultrasound repairs down to the component level. As an independent service organization, Advanced Ultrasound Systems was one of the first companies created to specialize in ultrasound repair that included full diagnostics and functionality testing on dedicated testbeds. The company achieved immediate success and demand in the market. Logically, the organization expanded from there into selling ultrasound parts, probes, systems and field service to better serve clinics and healthcare facilities.

Since conception, the company has steadily expanded its repair capabilities to stay ahead of current technology and to meet the needs of a growing customer base. Advanced Ultrasound Systems is well equipped to meet these increasing needs by utilizing our broad knowledge of ultrasound technology – tracing back to 1997 when John was performing reverse engineering repairs on PCB’s.

Advanced Ultrasound Systems stays constantly tuned to the OEMs and technology changes to be able to support our customer base when they look for alternative service providers. Our organization is constantly improving the QA process by achieving increasingly higher standards for all the repairs performed and all parts and systems sold. This is done by keeping up with the pulse of the market and constantly soliciting feedback to stay in tune with customer needs.

In March 2014, AUS purchased a new 20,000 sq. ft. facility to accommodate our steady growth. This new space has allowed for the expansion of our testbed facility, repair and diagnostics department, parts and probes inventory, and inventory of refurbished systems. AUS has also expanded capabilities to offer depot repair services, portable ultrasound device repairs, and a new dedicated training facility.

In 2015, AUS launched Advanced Veterinary Ultrasound to meet the needs of the veterinary ultrasound market. Advanced Veterinary Ultrasound occupies its own 3,000 sq. ft. space contiguous to AUS headquarters. During the same year, Advanced Ultrasound Systems increased our internal IT staff, Inside and Outside Sales staff, as well as our technical support team to ensure our customers receive access to on-time and affordable ultrasound repair and retail options.
